Melanie S. Morgan

Melanie S. Morgan was appointed by Governor Polis on February 17, 2026. Ms. Morgan is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Morgan Pilate LLC, a position she has held since 2007. Her practice consists of criminal defense and civil matters. Previously, she was the Founder at the Law Office of Melanie S. Morgan (2001-2007) and Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Joseph D. Johnson, Chtd. (1993-2001). Ms. Morgan earned her B.A. from Kansas State University in 1989 and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1993.
