When to Respond
- You must respond within 21 days of receiving the Petition and Summons.
- That extends to 35 days if served by publication or outside of Colorado.
Where to File
- Create an account and file online through Colorado Courts Efiling.
- You can also file in person at the Courthouse. The Court's address is on the first page of the summons, in the top left corner.
File Your Paperwork
- File your forms online or deliver them to the Courthouse.
- The Clerk (or system) will tell you the filing fee to pay.
- Visit the File Without Payment section for more information on waiving that fee.
