This website identifies a variety of resources related to addressing trauma in a child-welfare setting that adhere to both best practice and promising practice standards through a mixture of articles and videos.

This 3-hour course provides skill-building to develop effective communication strategies: self-awareness/self-regulation, empathy, attunement, and responsiveness. Emphasis is placed on both verbal and non-verbal communication, including reading body language to assess others’ emotional state. The concepts of power and privilege are integrated into the training content. The target audience is anyone who works with individuals who have experienced trauma.

A webinar that focuses on the impact of parental substance use, co-occuring disorders, and trauma on child development while providing resources to address needs presented by these issues when encountered in a FTDC setting.
