Job Description
The Counsel to the Office of the Chief of Justice is a highly responsible professional and administrative position serving as an executive strategist and advisor to the Office of the Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court on legal matters as well as judicial policy. The incumbent is responsible for handling liaison, administrative, and legal functions for the Office of the Chief Justice with respect to the Supreme Court, the Judicial Branch, and the legal community.

Summary of Job Classification:
Oversees and administers the day-to-day operations of a peer mentor program within a veterans’ court(s). Recruits, trains, and supervises military veteran paid and volunteer peer mentors and may supervise up to three full time equivalent (FTE) employees. Participates in providing individual case management for justice-involved veterans. Identifies and tracks veterans as they progress through the court system. Ensures policies and procedures are adhered to. Serves as the state-wide leader for veteran programs, develops state- wide standards and goals, serves as a resource and advisor for other Coordinators throughout the judiciary.
