Summary of Job Classification:
Performs entry/developing-level Probation Officer responsibilities, including investigation, assessment, supervision, resource coordination, and monitoring of clients’ court-ordered for services. Completes required training courses and programs.

Participates in program or project management in the Division of Probation Services to improve managerial procedures and practices in the Colorado Judicial Department’s probation business.

Responsible for managing the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center and the associated 1255 Lincoln Parking Garage, including all business, and financial aspects of the property.  May be responsible for directly supervising  third-party security and building management companies, which may include security, administration, operations, maintenance, and finance/accounting staffs.

Provides budget analysis for the Colorado Judicial Department.  May assist with budget preparation and execution, fiscal notes, capital constructions and business planning.

The Senior RPG Software Engineer is responsible for working on various projects such as case management systems, electronic filing systems, jury systems, and data exchanges with criminal justice agencies as well as various other state and local governmental agencies.  The position will design, develop, and document application and framework code using RPG ILE IV, CL, Query, SQL, DDS, and DB2.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for working on various projects such as case management systems, electronic filing systems, jury systems, and data exchanges with criminal justice agencies as well as various other state and local governmental agencies.  Work is conducted in small, agile teams to design, prototype, and build new software offerings and enhance existing software and tools.

The Senior Systems Engineer works with the private and public cloud infrastructure of the Colorado Judicial Department as a part of the Systems Engineering team.  This includes consulting, planning, designing, installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining on-premise x86 servers, SAN hardware, on-premise and cloud Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, SaaS products and other elements of the Department’s IT infrastructure.

The Senior Unified Communications (UC) Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the Colorado Judicial Department’s telecommunications infrastructure.  This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail systems, and teleconferencing environments.  This position will analyze and resolve telecommunications circuit issues and support user needs where required.

The Software Engineer I is responsible for working on various projects such as case management systems, electronic filing systems, jury systems, and data exchanges with criminal justice agencies as well as various other state and local governmental agencies.  Work is conducted in small, agile teams to design, prototype, and build new software offerings and enhance existing software and tools.  The position will design, develop, and document application and framework code in Java, Spring, JQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Provides budget analysis and participates in all aspects of the budget process, including budget preparation and execution, fiscal notes, capital constructions and business planning.

Performs professional, technical, and analytical administrative coordination and project management work. Responsibilities will vary based on the needs of the unit but may manage projects related to space planning and facilities management, telecommunications and AV/IT implementation, statistical analysis and planning, operational and organizational assessments, contract administration and oversight, auditing and compliance reviews, and similar work under the direction of an Executive.

Summary of Job Classification:
Provides specialized administrative, technical, and analytical support for an SCAO division and/or division director to ensure the effective running of the unit. Verifies the alignment of work products with the Judicial Department’s and division’s policies, procedures, and rules, as well as the director’s scope of responsibilities, authority, and priorities. Assists the director with a wide variety of matters to ensure the smooth running of the division, including calendaring, budget development and management, data compilation and analysis, preparation for daily activities and meetings, anticipation and coordination of supplies, logistical arrangements, equipment, and resources, and related activities.

Provides highly complex legal services to the Court of Appeals, including advising the court regarding jurisdictional issues and motions presented to the court during the appeal process; independently review appellate briefs, prepare draft opinions in accordance with Colorado law; provide legal research, training, and advice to members of the court regarding resolution of highly complex or novel legal issues.

Performs standard performance, semi-skilled trades work in a variety of trades areas for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center, the associated 1255 Lincoln Parking Garage and equipment.  Responsible for performing all duties and tasks pertaining to setting up conference rooms for usage and meeting special event needs.

Provides highly complex legal editing of opinions for the Colorado Supreme Court.  Provides guidance and research to Supreme Court staff on policy making and legal research related to Supreme Court Justices service on committees, boards and other internal and external bodies.  Assist law clerks on legal research methods insuring constancy in opinions and research methods.
