County Court is generally held on Tuesday mornings.  District Court is held one Tuesday per month.  Contact the clerk's office for specific dates.

There are two levels of cases the Jackson County Combined Court handles.

The County Courts have jurisdiction over the following matters:

  • Small Claims (up to $7,500.00)
  • Civil Claims (up to $25,000.00)
  • Traffic Cases
  • Infractions Cases
  • Misdemeanor Cases

The District Courts have jurisdiction over the following matters:

  • Domestic Relations (Divorce, Child Support) Cases
  • Civil Claims
  • Probate Matters
  • Mental Health Matters
  • Felony Cases
  • Juvenile Matters, including
    • Delinquency Cases
    • Dependency and Neglect Cases
    • Adoption Cases
    • Relinquishment Cases
