Jury Selection Working Group
House Bill 26-1288
The Jury Selection Working Group was created as partnership between the General Assembly and Colorado Supreme Court through HB26-1288 Jury Selection Requirements.
The Working Group will discuss issues related to the time provided to attorneys in voir dire, the use of questionnaires, and juror rehabilitation. The judges and jury commissioners on the committee were appointed by Chief Justice Monica Marquez. The other members were selected by various legal organizations. The member representing an academic institution was selected by the chief justice in consultation with non-judge appointees.
The Working Group expects to meet at least monthly through the end of 2026, more frequently if necessary. A co-chair for the Working Group will be selected by the members of the Working Group at the initial meeting on July 14.
