Jury Selection Working Group
House Bill 26-1288
The Jury Selection Working Group was created as a partnership between the Colorado General Assembly and the Colorado Supreme Court through HB26-1288 Jury Selection Requirements.
The Working Group will discuss issues related to the time provided to attorneys in voir dire, the use of questionnaires, and juror rehabilitation. The judges and jury commissioners on the committee were appointed by Chief Justice Monica Márquez. The other members were selected by various legal organizations. A member representing an academic institution was selected by the chief justice after consultation with non-judge appointees.
The Working Group expects to meet monthly through the end of 2026, but it will meet more frequently, if necessary.
