Summary of Job Classification:
The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering effective internal communications to enhance employee engagement, promote organizational transparency, and support a unified workplace culture across the Judicial Department.

Employees normally perform assignments according to your own judgement requesting Supervisory assistance only when necessary. Special projects are managed with little oversight and assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance reviewed periodically.

Work requires advanced skills and advanced and extensive knowledge of work. Incumbent can handle complex tasks and translate complex nuances related to aspects of the job. Recognized by others within organization for technical depth of knowledge.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a closely related field.
OR
Additional professional experience in internal communications or related field may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Work Related Experience:
At least three (3) years of work-related experience in internal communications, public information, employee engagement, or a related communications role. Experience developing and implementing internal communication strategies, writing for diverse audiences, and managing content across multiple platforms is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
None.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred. Internal communications work in a multi-location entity preferred.
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazard. Office environment.
