General Statement Of Duties

Summary of Job Classification:
The Court Program Analyst I participates in program or project management to improve managerial procedures and practices in the Colorado Judicial Department's court systems. 

Essential Functions Of the Position

  • Reviews and evaluates organizational policies, practices, structures, functions, programs, work methods, resources, relationships within various court systems, management and program performance; interprets data; prepares reports and provides recommendations.
  • Identifies problems within various court systems; offers recommendations and implements solutions; compares estimates and trend projections through the application of mathematical or statistical methods.
  • Drafts rules, administrative recommendations, and Chief Justice Directives; revises forms; develops and assists in implementing program policies and procedures for various court systems.
  • Compiles and analyzes collected information; verifies accuracy of information; identifies issues and problems; formulates recommendations that will encourage local or statewide changes.
  • Establishes response procedures designed to address internal and external requests for information.
  • Attends meetings and completes training as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisor Responsibilities

Job has no responsibility for the direction and supervision of others.

Work may require providing advice to others outside direct reporting relationships on specific problems or general policies. Contacts may require the consideration of different points of view to reach agreement. Elements of persuasion may be necessary to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas. 

Freedom to Act & Impact of Actions:
Employee normally perform assignments after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. There is some opportunity for discretion when making selections among a few easily identifiable choices. The assignment is usually review upon completion. 

Knowledge & Skills:
Work requires the use of basic skills and general knowledge of work. Incumbent can complete basic or routine task, but frequently references others for non-routine tasks. 

Fiscal Responsibility:
Position has no fiscal responsibility.

Minimum Education

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.

OR

Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.

WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) year(s) of work-related experience in management analysis experience in statistical or economic analysis, office systems, methods and procedures, work measurement, forms design, program planning or other related fields.

None. 

Physical Demands

Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Work Environment

Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment.
