2026 Calendar Year Holiday Closure Schedule

The following are the legal holidays for the 2026 calendar year. 

Please note that Bond Hearings may occur on some holidays.

• Monday, January 19, 2026 - Martin Luther King Jr.
• Monday, February 16, 2026 - President's Day
• Monday, May 25, 2026 - Memorial Day
• Friday, June 19, 2026 - Juneteenth
• Friday, July 3, 2026 - Independence Day
• Monday, September 7, 2026 - Labor Day
• Monday, October 5, 2026 - Frances Cabrini Day
• Wednesday, November 11, 2026 - Veterans Day
• Thursday, November 26, 2026 - Thanksgiving Day
• Friday, December 25, 2026 - Christmas Day 

Administrative Authorities have the discretion to grant requests for César Chávez Day (March 31, 2025) and Jury Appreciation Day (September 5, 2025) in lieu of another holiday within the same fiscal year. When granting such requests, the administrative authority should consider whether there will be work for the employee to perform for the court or probation department on the recognized legal holiday the employee has asked to work. If Jury Appreciation Day and Labor Day are both on September 5, an employee will only be granted Labor Day.
