SETTINGS FOR ALL CASE TYPES - How to make your appointment
Please check your calendar. Refer to the applicable setting schedule for your case type and division:
- Domestic (divorce, child custody, family matters) Setting Schedule (Notice to Set: JDF 1123/If uncontested: FCF 1015/Notice of Hearing: JDF 1124)
- Juvenile Court Setting Schedule (Notice to Set: JDF 1123/Notice of Hearing: JDF 1124)
- District Court Civil Setting Schedule (Notice to Set: JDF 1123/Notice of Hearing: JDF 1124)
- Probate Setting Schedule (Notice to Set: JDF 710/If uncontested: JDF 712/Notice of Hearing: JDF 711)
The day you pick should be at least two weeks from the date of the filing. Use the information from the division setting schedule to complete a Notice to Set Hearing. Note: If you are filing a Notice to Set in a domestic case and are in an uncontested or default status, please use Notice to Set for Uncontested or Default Final Orders Hearing (Pro Se) (FCF 1015) instead of JDF 1123. Follow the instructions and file the original with the clerk's office in S101.
The setting date is a non-appearance date. When the day and time you have selected for making the appointment arrives, call the Division you have been assigned to. Please call once and leave your name and telephone number. Someone will return your call as soon as possible. The phone numbers for the Divisions are listed on the setting schedule.
When you have received your hearing date and time, you are ready to fill out and file the Notice of Hearing (JDF 1124). Follow the instructions, and file the original with the clerk's office in S101.
