In addition, the following Colorado state courts and probation offices will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, and/or Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Courts and probation offices will be closed all day, unless otherwise noted.

Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025 Closures

13th Judicial District (Kit Carson, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties) Combined Courts and Probation Offices will close at noon.

Nov. 13, 2025, DENVER— Chief Justice Monica Márquez announced today a key leadership transition, appointing Court of Appeals Judge Ted Tow as the chief judge-designate of the Colorado Court of Appeals, as Chief Judge Gilbert Román prepares for the end of his term as chief on July 31, 2026. October 2, 2025, COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Meet dozens of service providers offering resources for employment, housing, recovery, mental health, and more at the annual Community Resource Fair presented by the 4th Judicial District problem-solving courts.

The fair will take place inside the west tower of the El Paso County Courthouse at 270 S. Tejon St. in Colorado Springs on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fair is free and open to residents in both El Paso and Teller counties.

August 28, 2025, DENVER—The Colorado Judicial Department has opened the application period for fiscal year 2025-26 grants from the Underfunded Courthouse Facility Cash Fund. The grants provide supplemental funding for courthouse facilities projects in Colorado counties with the most limited resources.

May 5, 2025, Boulder, Colo. - Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Monica M. Márquez has appointed the Honorable Nancy W. Salomone to serve as the next chief judge of the 20th Judicial District (Boulder County). 

Judge Salomone will replace the Honorable Ingrid S. Bakke, who was appointed as district judge in 2010 and has served as chief judge since 2017. Chief Judge Bakke recently announced her upcoming retirement and will continue to serve as chief judge until her retirement on July 12, 2025.

May 1, 2025, Brighton, Colo. — The 17th Judicial District has launched a new Competency Docket and Competency Diversion Program addressing the growing number of criminal defendants needing competency restoration services. This innovative docket integrates key provisions of House Bill 24-1355, “Concerning Reducing the Competency Waitlist, and, In Connection Therewith, Creating A Wraparound Care Program and Making and Reducing an Appropriation,” and introduces a new competency diversion program for eligible participants.

April 28, 2025, Greeley, Colo. – The 19th Judicial District, in collaboration with Greeley Municipal Court, will be hosting its fourth Warrant Clearance Day on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Weld County Combined Court Centennial Center located at 915 10th Street in Greeley.
