Nicholas Trevino

Magistrate Trevino was appointed as District Court Magistrate in July 2025.  Prior to his appointment he was in private practice focusing primarily on family law and estate planning at Grimaldi and Kinde, PLLC.  While there, he also represented indigent clients in dependency and neglect matters through the Office of Respondent Parent Counsel. Before entering into private practice he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Boulder County District Attorney's Office.  During his time as a prosecutor, he was a member of the Office's Sex Crimes Unit and liaison to the Boulder County Drug Task Force.  Magistrate Trevino received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado Law School.
