Kara E. Clark

Kara E. Clark was appointed as District Judge in April 2026.

Prior to her appointment, Judge Clark served as a District Court Magistrate in the 8th Judicial District.  Prior to becoming a judicial officer, she worked at the Larimer County Attorney’s Office practicing primarily in the areas of Dependency & Neglect, Adult Protection, and Mental Health. Magistrate Clark also practiced domestic relations working both in private practice and with the non-profit organization, Bringing Justice Home. 

Judge Clark received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Cornell University, and her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law.
