Chris Floyd

Ms. Floyd is the Founder and Managing Attorney at Rocky Mountain General Counsel, LLC, a position she has held since 2019. Her practice consists of civil matters. Previously, she was County Attorney (2021-2025) and Special Counsel (2016-2020) for the Lake County Attorney’s Office; Presiding Municipal Judge for the City of Leadville (2020-2025); Founder and Managing Attorney at Hampton Roads General Counsel, PLLC (2011-2023); Senior Counsel at Vandeventer Black, LLP (2006-2011); General Counsel at Hall Automotive (2002-2007); General Counsel at Metro Information Services, Inc. (1998-2002); Attorney at Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore (1993-1998); and Law Clerk for Judge William Prince, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (1992-1993). Ms. Floyd earned her B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982 and her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1992.
