Magistrate Acker graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 2010 with a double major in Religion and Biology and she attended Pace University in New York City where she taught middle school science while earning her Master’s in Education for Science Teachers. She graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2016. Ms. Acker interned for the Department of Education Office for Civil Rights and the Office of the Child’s Representative during law school, and she clerked for the Honorable Ann Gail Meinster in the 1st Judicial District after graduation. Since becoming an attorney, Magistrate Acker has practiced as a Respondent Parent attorney, Guardian ad Litem, Counsel for Youth, and divorce attorney. Magistrate Acker joined the 21st Judicial District Bench on September 12th, 2025.
