Anita Jain Crowther

Anita J. Crowther was appointed as a District Court Judge for the 19th Judicial District on October 1, 2022.  Prior to her appointment she served as a Magistrate handling criminal and family matters.  Judge Crowther served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Weld and Adams District Attorney’s Offices, from 2007 to 2014.  She was a shareholder at Jorgensen, Brownell and Pepin, P.C. from 2014 to 2019, representing her clients in a variety of legal matters with a primary focus on Family Law.  Judge Crowther earned her B.S. in Economics from The Ohio State University in 2002 and her J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2006.   Judge Crowther currently oversees a district court criminal docket.
