- It is imperative to test language fluency at a college level for all working languages, without any exceptions, including English native speakers

This training program aims to equip aspiring Court Interpreters with a thorough understanding of the legal process and fundamentals. Some focus areas are civics, legal process, Colorado courts, the role of the court interpreter, and Ethics.
- To ensure a productive experience for all participants, you must have:
- A reliable, high-speed internet connection
- A headset with noise-canceling microphone
- A laptop or desktop computer
- A quiet, distraction-free environment
- Attend both days from 8:30 am to 5 pm
All applicants must pass the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) before registering for the Orientation to Court Interpreting. This is a two-day event.
Both dates must be attended for the successful completion.

Skills Building Workshop Information IN PERSON
All applicants must have successfully taken and passed an OPI, written exam, and attended Pre-Orientation to Court Interpreting in order to be eligible to attend the Skills Building Workshop.

The Skills Building Workshop is designed to help participants develop effective study techniques and enhance their interpreting abilities across all three modes required for a court interpreter. This workshop is also aimed at assisting individuals in successfully passing the oral exam.

- All applicants for the Oral Certification Exam must have successfully passed the written exam, taken and passed an OPI, attended both days of Orientation to Court Interpreting, and attended the Skills Building Workshop.
- Cost: $375.00 for the full exam or $135 per exam section
