Performs as the Deputy Compact Administrator for Probation (DCAP) in conjunction with the Department of Corrections (DOC) to provide services and guidance to probation officers state-wide, the Interstate Commission on Adult Offender Supervision Office (ICAOS) along with all 50 states and the territories of District of Columbia, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on matters concerning the Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision ICAOS.  This includes managing specific programs to develop improved managerial procedures and practices in the Colorado Judicial Department’s probation business as they related to the ICAOS and the Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System (ICOTS).

Provides budget analysis for the Colorado Judicial Department.  May assist with budget preparation and execution, fiscal notes, capital constructions and business planning.

Performs standard performance, semi-skilled trades work in a variety of trades areas for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Ralph L. The Lead Benefits Specialist serves as the supervisor over the employees who administer the statewide health and benefit programs for the Colorado Judicial Department.  This position is responsible for the overall management of the Judicial and state health and benefit programs for Judicial Department.

Summary of Job Classification:
Performs entry/developing-level Probation Officer responsibilities, including investigation, assessment, supervision, resource coordination, and monitoring of clients’ court-ordered for services. Completes required training courses and programs.

Provides supervision to a probation unit, units, or probation staff which includes establishing operating procedures and assisting in administering probation programs.  Assists in the daily operations of the Probation Department, fiscally manages offender services, supervises multiple staff and programs, monitors caseload progress and performs case reviews and other methods of quality assurance. 

Performs journey level work in the daily operation of automated and mechanical environmental control systems, monitoring power supply systems, and performs general building and facility maintenance and repairs independently and with others at the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center and the associated 1255 Lincoln Parking Garage.

Serves as the Deputy Supreme Court Librarian and assists in the administration of the Supreme Court Law Library programs and services, including supervision of library personnel and oversight of legal research.

Performs general building and facility maintenance and repairs independently and with others at the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center and the associated 1255 Lincoln Parking Garage.  Performs technical level work in the daily operation of automated and mechanical environmental control systems, and monitors power supply systems.  May be assigned to perform lead work.

This position performs business intelligence assignments at the strategic operating level for the Colorado Judicial Department.  Responsible for report building, and support and training of the Department’s chosen reporting tool.

The Supreme Court Librarian is responsible for supervising and directing the activities of the Colorado Supreme Court Library.   

This classification is responsible for design, implementation, and administration of business intelligence systems for the Colorado Judicial Department.  Designs and creates data models, data marts and data stores using data modeling  and extract, transform and load (ETL) tools. Produces business intelligence solutions for the Department and external stakeholders.
