Sergio Lemus

Sergio Lemus was appointed as Magistrate in April 2025. 

Magistrate Sergio Lemus is a seasoned attorney with a diverse background in criminal defense and child welfare law. Graduating from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2011, Magistrate Lemus has built a strong foundation in legal practice, initially serving as a public defender in Colorado, then later in Wyoming, and then Wyoming Office of the Alternate Defense Counsel (ADC). He has handled complex criminal defense cases, advocating for clients facing serious charges.

Magistrate Lemus has served as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in dependency and neglect cases, working on behalf of children in challenging family situations. This experience has deepened his passion for ensuring the protection and well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Magistrate Lemus is licensed to practice law in both Wyoming and Colorado.
